Drainage
Drainage is necessary for many reasons. We provide services to keep your basement dry, eliminate ponding and puddles in your yard, driveway or parking lot.
-
Waterproofing your foundation from the outside is always our #1 recommendation. It is an invasive process that we try to make easy by returning everything to its original condition upon completion. The outside of the foundation is excavated, the wall is cleaned off and waterproofed. New footing drains are installed and foundation is backfilled and landscaped as necessary.
-
In special cases where foundations cannot be excavated on the outside for the purpose of water proofing, we can install interior drainage, which will consist of trenching around the inside perimeter of the basement and installing perforated pipe with gravel and leading it to a sump pump or by gravity drain to the outside.
-
Sump pumps may be necessary when a gravity drain pipe cannot be installed to remove water from under your basement floor. We can provide new installation or repair/replacement of your existing pump.
-
Trench and channel drains can be useful to prevent water on driveways from entering a garage space. Catch basins are useful when pitching an entire area to one point where a single drain will then catch the water and pipe it to a destination.
-
Curtain drains can dry out yard space to make them more usable for activities or septic areas. By digging a trench to a predetermined depth and installing gravel and perforated pipe, horizontal flow of ground water can be cut off and redirected to a discharge destination.
-
Leader/gutter drains are very important for directing water away from your foundation and yard space.
