Rock Removal
Rock removal in many times is not planned for but encountered during a project. We offer a variety of ways to remove rock to aid in most situations.
-
Rock hammering consists of a hydraulic excavator with a breaker attachment to break up rock.
-
Rock drilling may be necessary in situations where there is poor access to a structure or where hammering may cause structural damage to adjacent foundations.
-
Rock splitting is used in conjunction with rock drilling and uses a set of high-pressure hydraulic wedges/feathers. This technique is used in limited access areas where the rock is very hard and rock hammering is not efficient.
-
Micro blasting is used when small volumes of rock need to be removed especially when access is limited and does not require the use of any heavy machinery.
